Who wants to be a Millionaire?  This question, made famous by a popular T.V. show, would probably be answered by all of us, "I do, I do!"  

Why is that?  Are we all greedy, money-hungry consumers who simply want more, more, more?  I would argue that everyone should have as a goal to amass total assets of a million dollars or more because in today's economy, that is about the amount needed to achieve financial independence and provide comfortably for one's retirement.

Rather than being a means to excessiveness and overindulgence, a million dollars of wealth can provide the following:    

• Your children go to the colleges of their choice.
• 2.You can afford nice weddings for your children.
• 3.You can give more to church, charities, causes.
• 4.You can enjoy retirement, travel, a nice home, etc.
• You can leave an inheritance for your loved ones.

How many ways can this be accomplished?   Below are a few of the ways a person can earn a million dollars.  Ask yourself which of these is the most likely scenario for you.

Play and win a game show,  Win the Lottery,  Invest in the next Apple Computers,  Try a "get rich quick' scheme,  Receive an inheritance from a rich uncle,  Rob a bank (not recommended).
